The LRV is a new urban transportation system, with the capacity between a subway and a bus. With the future in mind and state-of-the-art technologies, the LRV is a very environment-friendly transit system with minimal air pollution and noise. It has an articulation system which provides easy operations at a small curve radius and fully automated operations with a driverless system and low operation costs resulting in high punctuality, safety and speed. Hyundai Rotem started to export steel-wheel LRVs to Adana, Turkey and Manila, Philippines, from 1996. It has been supplying LRVs to Otogar, Turkey, and Vancouver, Canada, as well as providing domestic supply for Busan-Gimhae and Ui-Sinseol lines ever since.
