A gas carrier (or gas tanker) is a ship designed to transport LPG, LNG or liquified chemical gases in bulk. There are many types of gas carrier – Fully pressurized gas carrier, Semi-pressurised ships, Ethylene and gas/chemical carriers, Fully refrigerated ships, and Liquefied natural gas LNG carrier.
